Indian Navy AA SSR Eligibility Criteria:

The Indian Navy AA SSR eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
• The candidate needs to be an unmarried male and the age should be between 17-20
years and should be born between February 1, 2000-January 31, 2003.
• Candidates applying for the post of AA should have cleared 10+2 exam with 60%
aggregate or more having subjects such as Physics, Maths, Biology/Computer
Science/Chemistry.
• Those applying for the post of SSR should have cleared 10+2 with subjects such as
Physics, Maths and Biology/Computer Science/Chemistry.

Indian Navy AA SSR Selection Process:

The selection process for the Indian Navy 2021 includes three stages and the details for the
stages have been elaborated below

Step 1
Computer-Based Examination (CBT)
The first step is the written exam which takes place in the online mode. The questions asked in the
exam will be objective type. 100 questions will be asked and the time duration to finish the exam will
be 1 hour. The question paper will be available in English and Hindi, and the exam will be based on
these subjects- Science, Math, English, and General Knowledge. Each question has 1 mark, there is
negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. If the question is unanswered, then no
marks will be cut.

Step 2
Physical Exam
After clearing the CBT, candidates need to take part in the physical fitness test. For PFT,
candidates need to perform the activities given below

• 20 squats
• 10 push-ups
• 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes

Candidates also need to be proficient in swimming, extra-curricular activities and sports

Step 3
Preliminary Medical Exam
Candidates who clear PFT will appear for the medical exam to be conducted by the authorised
military doctors. As per this exam, candidates will be evaluated basis the parameters given below:

Minimum height should be 157 cms
Minimum chest expansion should be 5 cms
Weight and chest should be in proportion

Those who will be deemed medically unfit in this round can get a specialist review from the specified
military hospital within 21 days. No review/appeal will be required if the candidate has been
declared unfit by the specialist. Those candidates who have been declared permanent medically
unfit in this round can appeal for specialist opinion in a military hospital by paying Rs. 40 by military
receivable order (MRO) at government treasury within a span of 21 days. After passing the
preliminary medical exam, candidates will be deemed ‘provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final
medical exam’

Step 4
Final Enrollment Medical
After clearing all the 3 steps given above, candidates will be asked to appear for the final enrollment
medical on the basis of the merit list. They will have to report at INS Chilka as per the date and time
specified for their batch. Before appearing for the final enrollment medical, they need to ensure that
they are in good physical and mental health, free from any ailment or condition that can hinder their
performance both ashore and afloat under war conditions or peace as per Navy order. Candidates
also need to ensure that their ears are also cleaned for wax and there are no signs of tartar in their
teeth before appearing for the medical exam.

Note: Once the final medical exam has been conducted, candidates will be asked to show police
verification form and other associated forms along with the call letter for final enrollment medical
exam at INS Chilka.

Indian Navy AA SSR Medical Standards:

Candidates also need to follow the medical standards given below for Indian Navy AA SSR
recruitment 2021:

Visual Standard
As per the visual standard, better eye without glasses should be 6/6 and worse eye without
glasses should be 6/9. Better eye with glasses should be 6/6 and worse eye with glasses
should be 6/6

Tattoos

Permanent body tattoos are only allowed on the inner area of the forearms-from inside of the
elbow to the wrist and the reversed side of palm/back of the hand Tattoos on any other body
part are not allowed and the candidate won’t be considered for recruitment. The training will
take place in February 2020. For AA, the training duration will be 9 weeks and for SSR, it
will be 22 weeks. The candidate needs to go for the basic training first to INS Chilka and then
must attend professional training in the allotted trade in various naval training establishment.

Indian Navy AA SSR Result:

The result of the Indian Navy exam will be out 30 days after the exam. Candidates who
qualify will be called for the PFT and medical exam. Those who clear both will be taken into
consideration while preparing the merit list. If two or more than two candidates get the same
marks in CBT then the one who has a high percentage in 10+2 will be considered. The
percentage will be calculated taking into account the best of five subjects including Physics
and Maths.

Indian Navy AA SSR Cut-Off and Merit List:

The qualifying cut off marks for Indian Navy exam to appear for PFT and Preliminary Medical varies
from state to state for SSR. The candidate will need to clear the cut off for the written exam in order
to qualify.

Indian Navy AA SSR Pay and Allowance:

Given below is the table for Indian Navy AA SSR pay and allowance 2021 which candidates will get:

Sailors will get medical treatment, group housing, leave travel concessions for self and
dependents, annual and casual leave, group housing, house rent allowance, children
education, post-retirement benefits which include gratuity, pension and leave encashment.
Candidates need to serve 20 years 15 years for SSR and 20 years for AA.

Indian Navy AA SSR Application Process:

The Indian Navy AA SSR application process 2021 has already been completed. However,
the application process for the Indian Navy exam remains the same every year. To apply for
the Indian Navy AA SSR recruitment, candidates need to follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official website of Indian Navy
• Register with the mobile number and email id
• Login with the registered email
• Click on ‘Current Opportunities’
• Click on ‘Apply’
• Fill in all the details and then upload the scanned copy of the documents asked for and
a photograph (with blue background)
• Click on ‘Final Submit’

The application fee for Indian Navy AA SSR application process is Rs. 205 and the fee has to
be paid online through net banking or credit/debit card/UPI. SC candidates don’t have to pay
the application fee. The fee is non-refundable. IN case, money has been deducted after paying
the application fee and admit card hasn’t been generated, the fee will be refunded to the
candidates. This process can take up to 7 working days.

Documents Required for Indian Navy AA SSR:

The list of documents which the candidates upload also have to be brought in for verification on the
day of the medical exam at INS Chilka. The documents are as follows:
