ADMISSION FOR STUDENTS TO THE RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE, DEHRADUN FOR THE JAN 2023 TERM

RIMC Entrance Exam for admission of Boys and Girls to Class 8th for Jan 2023 term will be held at the specified centers within the country on 4th June 2022 (Saturday).

Eligibility Criterion for RIMC Entrance exam

Educational Qualification needed to write RIMC exam

The candidate studying in class 7th or passed Class 7th from any recognized school at the time of admission to the RIMC entrance exam, i.e., on 1st Jan 2023.

Age Limit for RIMC entrance exam

Boys and Girls are both eligible to apply for admission to the RIMC, Dehradun. The candidate should be in the age bracket of 11.5 to 13 years as on 1st Jan 2023, they should not be born earlier than 2nd Jan 2010 and not later than 1st July 2011.

Schedule of RIMC entrance

Written Exam pattern for RIMC

The exam will be conducted on 4th June 2022 -Saturday as per the following schedule.

Viva-Voce for RIMC Exam

The Viva Voce will be held for only those candidates who qualify the written RIMC entrance exam.

The list will be seny to the respective State Governments by the EIMC after approval from HQ ARTRAC.

The date for viva-voce will be intimated later ( designed primarily to test the intelligence, personality, & communication skills of candidates )

Results for RIMC Entrance Exam

Results will be uploaded on RIMC website www.rimc.gov.in. Candidates are responsible to regularly check the website for latest status update. It is mandatory for all the selected candidates to join RIMC within 10 days.

Procedure to obtain Application forms for RIMC entrance Exam

The Prospectus-cum Application Form and Booklet of Old question papers can be obtained from the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt Dehradun, Uttarakhand Pin 248003 by following methods.

Online Payments: The prospectus, Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained by making an online payment of Rs 600/- for General Candidates and Rs 555/- for SC/ST Candidates along with caste certificate on website www.rimc.gov.in.

By Sending Demand Draft: The prospectus, Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained by sending a written request with a demand draft of Rs 600/- for General Candidates and Rs 555/- for SC/ST Candidates along with caste certificate .

Documents needed for RIMC entrance exam

Applications for RIMC exam are to be submitted in duplicate. The documents which are required to be attached with RIMC Application are under

Birth Certificate
Domicile Certificate
SC/ST Certificate
A certificate from the principal of the current school in which the candidate is studying, with a photograph attested stating the date of birth ( as per the school records) and the class in which the candidate is studying is to be submitted in original.
Photocopy of Aadhar Card of the Candidate ( both sides ) is a mandatory requirement failing which application will be rejected.
Two passport size photographs.

The viva-voce for RIMC Entrance Exam will be conducted by the State Government only for those candidates who have qualified in the written examination on the date which will be intimated later. The candidates will be informed of the result of the written examination result possibly by the first week of Sept 2022.

Medical Examination to get into Rashtriya Indian Military College

Only the candidates finally selected after the viva-voice only will undergo a Medical Examination at selected Military Hospitals and only the candidates found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC Candidates should not consider themselves selected until Joining Instruction to this effect is issued and call up notices are sent to them by the college authorities.
